I’m auctioning off two very special props that I crafted in 2016 for a fantastic cause. These pieces are from the beloved Twitch DnD webseries Critical Role and were originally created for their very first #CriticalCostumes Halloween contest.

Here’s a bit more about them:

ree
  • Fenthras is a custom-built bow made of hand-molded PVC which is sheathed in a flexible foam exterior and hand-painted by yours truly. I'm including Vex’s quiver, notched blue feather, and a remnant of real rabbit hide for free.

ree
  • Bad News is a highly modified NERF rifle with steampunk details and hand-painted by me. I'm throwing in the spectacles and pepper box belt for free. Fun fact, it was wielded by my spouse, @Calahammer on Twitter (X), who won the 2016 contest. Yeah, that bearded Percy. That's the one!

The auction is live on eBay, and all proceeds will benefit Take This, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports mental health in the game development community. The situation is urgent—Take This needs to raise $80K by the end of the month to keep their doors open.

Plus, my employer will match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000, so your contribution will go twice as far!

If you’re a Critical Role superfan or just someone who wants to support a crucial cause, check out the auction. And even if you’re not in the market for these props, you can still make a difference by donating to Take This! directly through the link here: https://www.takethis.org/support/donate/.

Let’s make a difference together!

Stay human,

Ellie P.S. Also, here's two old "in-progress" photos I found on my hard-drive from building these props. Aw, makes me want to build something again.
